SecretFriends does something almost nothing else in this category does: it tells you exactly what everything costs, on a public page, before you have an account. This SecretFriends review covers that pricing, the profiles behind it, a casino layer nobody asked for, and a policy page that reads like it was written by somebody who had thought about it. The site is adult throughout and restricted to over 18s.

SecretFriends at a glance

  • What it is: a European credit-based cam site with free chat rooms, four paid chat tiers and a heavy community layer
  • What chat costs: free chat 0, group 1 credit/min, peek 1 credit/min, private 2 credits/min, VIP 1-on-1 3 credits/min, cam2cam free
  • Free to join: yes, and registration comes with 5 free credits — but a card is required to sign up
  • Best thing about it: the whole rate card is published before you have an account, and model profiles run deeper than anywhere else in this category
  • Biggest catch: no page says what a credit actually costs, and the Games tab is a real casino spending the same credits
  • Size: 2,202 registered cam models, with no live counts shown anywhere

What is SecretFriends?

SecretFriends is a European cam site running on credits, with free chat rooms, paid private modes on top, and a community layer wrapped around both. The house metaphor is friendship rather than performance: performers are friends, your favourites list is called My Girlfriends, and the tagline asks you to find your secret friend.

SecretFriends home page showing a grid of room tiles with ages and toy badges, above a bar stating the site's model and content totals
Tiles carry ages and toy badges, and the bar underneath states the registered library totals.

The interface is a blue and white grid that looks a decade old and works fine. Tiles carry the performer’s name, age, a live dot and badges for Lovense, Tip Toy or New. Studio-affiliated rooms carry a studio banner down the side. Across the top sit Live, Girls, Events, News and a Games tab, plus quick filters for New, Top 10, Fresh Look, Milf, Curvy, Couples, Tattoos and Toys, and two badges labelled MOTM and HOF for Model of the Month and the Hall of Fame.

A footer bar states the scale in flat numbers: 2,202 cam models, 4,248 live cam recordings, 20,977 premium videos and 26,469 custom clips. That is the registered library rather than what is live at any moment, and the site is clear about which is which.

SecretFriends prices: the full rate card

Free chat costs nothing, and paid chat runs 1 to 3 credits a minute. Every rate below is published in the site’s own FAQ, openly, with no account required to read it. That is the reason to take SecretFriends seriously.

The SecretFriends FAQ page, an open help document covering troubleshooting and how the site works
The FAQ publishes every chat rate in credits without requiring an account.

Chat modes and per-minute rates

  • Free chat: enter any room, watch and read, at no cost
  • Premium Group Chat: 1 credit per minute by default, alone or in a group, and the model can propose it herself
  • Private: 2 credits per minute by default, adjustable by the model, with others able to peek in
  • Peek: 1 credit per minute to watch somebody else’s private show
  • VIP 1 on 1: 3 credits per minute by default, exclusive, nobody can peek, and the model can hear you
  • Cam2cam: free inside Private and VIP

Cam2cam being free rather than a surcharge is unusual on its own. Publishing a four-tier ladder with the peek price attached is more unusual still. It means you can plan an evening before you spend a credit. The rates on the room I opened matched the defaults exactly: private 2 a minute, VIP 3 a minute, printed down the left edge of the player.

Stickers, GIFs, gifts and messages

  • Stickers such as spank, love, kiss and hug: 1 credit each
  • GIFs, preset or your own link: 2 credits each
  • Selfies sent to the model, visible only to the two of you and not stored: 1 credit
  • Recordings: bought individually and kept in a Bought Recordings tab
  • Wishlist gifts: priced per item, at 20, 25 and 75 credits on the profile I read
  • Private messages to a model: free, including pictures

Free private messaging is worth flagging, because on several rivals in this reference a DM is one of the more expensive things you can do.

Is SecretFriends free to use?

Yes, more than most sites give you. Free rooms are genuinely free to enter and watch, profile pages are open in full, and registration itself is free and comes with 5 free credits.

The one restriction is talking. Models can mute guests, and the room I sat in showed a banner saying guests were muted and asking me to register.

Models can also flip a room to verified members only, meaning anyone who has ever bought credits. Those rooms carry a star next to the name, so you can see the restriction before you click rather than after.

Finding a model: filters, events and schedules

Discovery is quick rather than deep. The filter row covers the obvious cases, and a Filters dropdown adds more behind it. Tiles show ages directly, which saves a click, and the toy badges tell you which rooms are interactive before you enter.

What the site leans on instead of filters is scheduling and events. A countdown in the header advertised a named pornstar going live in a couple of days, an Events tab lists what is coming up, and a News tab runs site announcements. There is a Next Event panel and a Latest News panel sitting inside the grid itself.

A SecretFriends room with the player on the left showing private and VIP rates down the edge, and a chat panel with priced stickers on the right
Private and VIP per-minute rates sit on the player, with a tip leaderboard running above it.

That is a different theory of a cam site from the endless-scroll networks. This one wants you to come back on Wednesday for a specific thing.

Inside a SecretFriends chat room

The player takes the left two thirds with the chat panel on the right. Down the left edge of the video sit the private and VIP rates, a snapshot button, a profile link and a Wish List badge. Above the whole thing runs a tip leaderboard: today’s biggest tip, this performer’s totals for today and all time, and the site-wide figures beside them. The room I watched showed an all time total in the tens of thousands of credits against a top tip that day of 105.

The chat panel carries a Whisper toggle that sends a message only the model can see, sticker and GIF trays with their prices printed on them, and a Send box. Underneath sits a More Online Girls rail so you can move on without going back.

Taking snapshots is a built-in feature with its own collection in your account, which is a nicer answer than the usual outright ban, and the site pairs it with a clear rule that your own recordings are forbidden.

Tipping: five ways to send credits

Most cam sites have one tip button. This one has a whole taxonomy, and a couple of the variants are genuinely novel.

  • Direct tipping in the room, any amount, plus the priced stickers and GIFs above
  • Indirect tipping, sent to a performer while she is offline from her profile page, waiting for her when she next comes online
  • Anonymous tipping from any preview page, so you see the reaction without your name attached
  • Gifts through a Gift Shop icon in the chat window
  • Make It Rain, which puts up to five performers using interactive toys on a single page, lets you set an amount for each, and fires them all at once with one button

Make It Rain is the one nobody else has. Watching five rooms react simultaneously is a party trick, and it is also an efficient way to spend a lot of credits very quickly, which is presumably the point.

Sitting over all of it is a Top Tips bonus. Whoever tips the most today, this week, this month and this year wins extra credits, and so do the performers they tipped. The site notes one exclusion in the fine print: tips sent while a target is in progress do not count toward it. That is the sort of detail most operators would leave you to discover.

Dates: prepaid VIP bookings, refunded if unfulfilled

A Date here is a prepaid VIP session scheduled in advance. You pick a performer, hit Plan a Date on her profile, and the credits are reserved against your account rather than spent. If she confirms, you turn up at the appointed time and she starts the session. If she declines or simply never responds, the credits are refunded automatically once the slot expires.

An automatic refund on an unfulfilled booking is a consumer protection, and it is written into the FAQ rather than left to support. The date rate can differ from the performer’s standard VIP price, and the site shows you that price before you commit.

Account settings and pages

The account itself is more configurable than most:

  • Up to three nicknames, with a choice of which one displays in chat
  • Block private messages from models entirely
  • Sort your girlfriends first on the Live page
  • Six account tabs: My Girlfriends, My Dates, Notifications, Bought Recordings, My Snapshots and My Posts
  • Date of birth is entered once and can never be changed

SecretFriends model profiles

A profile page showing a wishlist of items priced in credits, a monthly schedule calendar, and a block of answered profile questions
Wishlist items carry credit prices, and the calendar shades the days a performer is scheduled.

What each profile lists

Every profile carries two blocks of detail:

  • Structured stats: country, languages, zodiac sign, birthday and age, eye colour, hair colour, body type, bust, height and weight, shoe size, tattoos, and the date she joined
  • Free-text answers: sexual speciality, willing to do, turn-offs, why chat with me, how to surprise me, favourite hobbies, favourite drink and food

It is closer to a dating profile than a cam listing, which fits the friendship framing, and it means you can form a real impression of somebody before spending anything.

Wishlist, schedule and guestbook

Three more blocks sit under that, and each one is doing something the big networks do not:

  • A Wishlist of real items with credit prices and a Get It button, so tipping has an object attached to it rather than being an abstract number
  • A monthly calendar with the performer’s scheduled days shaded in, and an open calendar link for the full view
  • A Guestbook of dated public comments from members, which is a review system in everything but name
The guestbook section of a profile, showing dated public comments left by members
Guestbooks work as a review system, with dated comments from members.

Profiles also carry badges the site is careful to describe as having no financial value and existing for entertainment, a follow toggle that emails you when the performer goes live, photos, and recordings for sale.

The Games tab: a credit casino

There is a Games tab in the main navigation, and behind it is a genuine casino. Every game costs credits and pays credits:

  • Secret Spinners: a slot machine at 1 credit a spin, prizes from 2 to 500 credits, and three of a kind pays the pictured model 10 credits too
  • Roll the Dice: 1 credit a roll, doubles pay 1 credit, double six pays 12, and the model wins the same amount you do
  • Scratch cards: 2 credits each, three matching pays 10, three jackpots pays 830
  • Wheel of Fortune: pick up to five models at 1 credit each, a hit pays 20, bonus segments pay double or triple your stake
  • Five-card draw: 2 credits a hand, a royal flush pays 830

Two things about this. The design where the model wins alongside you is clever, because it turns a gamble into a shared event rather than a solo one. And it is, unambiguously, gambling with the same currency you buy shows with. The site’s own FAQ warns about addiction two sections later. Those two facts sit oddly together and you should know both before you open that tab.

Is SecretFriends safe? Rules, privacy and the addiction notice

The policy pages here are better than the category norm. The FAQ carries three substantial sections covering harassment, model privacy and addiction prevention, where most cam sites run boilerplate or nothing.

On harassment, the site states it will identify offenders and report them to local and international law enforcement and to their internet provider. It also names the specific things it will not host discussion of. On model privacy, contacting a performer outside the platform is prohibited and grounds for removal. Recordings stay the property of the site and can be pulled at a performer’s request under GDPR, and making your own recordings is forbidden.

Then there is a section headed Prevent Addiction. It tells you to set a spending limit before you start, set a time limit, treat it as entertainment, and contact a local helpline if you are worried about your usage. XloveCam carries a single sentence in the same spirit; this is the only site in this reference that gives you actual steps.

Who runs SecretFriends

The footer names the operator outright, which is not a given in this category:

  • Operator: International Media Company B.V., of Uitgeest in the Netherlands
  • Billing: three billing agents named individually, each with its own support link
  • Membership: free for life, no monthly fee, cancelled by emailing support
  • Compliance: Report Abuse and Complaint routes alongside a 2257 statement

The FAQ even troubleshoots your VPN for you, naming two providers whose leak protection breaks the stream and linking their fix pages. That is a support page written by somebody who has read the tickets.

The footer also carries a set of curated landing pages rather than a raw tag dump: big boob, big ass and skinny cam girls, couples, milfs and interactive sex toys, with a See All Tags link behind them. Alongside sit editorial pages the site maintains itself, covering Model of the Month, the badge system, the model calendar and a set of model interviews.

Model interviews are the giveaway. A cam site that publishes written interviews with its performers is running a magazine as well as a grid, and it fits everything else here: the events calendar, the news tab, the guestbooks, the friendship language. This is a platform built on the assumption you will come back for particular people rather than for whoever happens to be online.

What SecretFriends is missing

  • The credit price. Every rate is in credits and no page says what a credit costs, so the whole published ladder floats free of money until checkout.
  • Live counts. No filter carries a number, so you cannot tell how many performers match anything.
  • Model payouts. A Become a Webcam Girl route exists with no rates attached.
  • A card is required to register, per the site’s own joining instructions, which is a higher bar than the free grids ask.

SecretFriends vs other cam sites

On price transparency, it beats almost everything here. Stripchat, ImLive and Chaturbate all publish partial figures at best; SecretFriends publishes the whole ladder including the peek rate and free cam2cam. Only Xcams is comparable, and only Sex.cam goes further by pricing the credit itself.

On scale, it loses badly. Two thousand registered models against Stripchat’s live grid is not a contest, and the absence of live counts makes the gap harder to judge than it should be. LiveJasmin, Streamate, MyFreeCams and XloveCam all carry more people at any given moment.

On depth per performer, nothing else here comes close. Nothing else gives you a wishlist, a schedule, a guestbook, a badge system and a full field profile on one page.

Verdict: who SecretFriends is for

SecretFriends is for people who want to know the price first, and people who want to know the person. The published rate card removes the single biggest annoyance in this category, and the profiles are built for somebody planning a repeat visit rather than an anonymous one. If the words secret friend describe what you actually want from a cam site, the whole design is pointed at you.

Skip it if

  • You want scale. The roster is modest and the live counts are hidden, so you cannot even measure the gap.
  • You want free anonymous browsing at volume. A card is required to register, which is a higher bar than the free grids ask.
  • You are wary of gambling. Credits spent in the Games tab are credits, whatever the site calls it, and the site’s own advice about setting a limit applies there first.

SecretFriends FAQ

Is SecretFriends free?

Partly. Free chat rooms and full profile pages cost nothing, and registration is free with 5 free credits attached. Paid chat modes, stickers, GIFs, gifts and recordings all cost credits, and models can mute guests until you register.

How much does SecretFriends cost per minute?

1 to 3 credits a minute, depending on the mode. Premium Group Chat and Peek are 1 credit per minute, Private is 2, and VIP 1-on-1 is 3. Models can adjust their own private rate, and cam2cam is free inside Private and VIP. The site does not publish what a credit itself costs.

Is cam2cam free on SecretFriends?

Yes. Cam2cam is included at no extra charge inside Private and VIP sessions, rather than being billed as a surcharge the way most rivals bill it.

Do you need a credit card to join SecretFriends?

Yes. The site’s own joining instructions require a card at registration, even though the account is free for life and carries no monthly fee.

Who owns SecretFriends?

International Media Company B.V., based in Uitgeest in the Netherlands. Three billing agents are named in the footer, each with its own support link.

Can you get a refund on SecretFriends?

On Dates, yes. Credits for a planned Date are reserved rather than spent, and if the performer declines or never responds they are refunded automatically once the slot expires. Ordinary per-minute chat is not refundable.
