Xpanded is a cam site with no cams. It says so itself, on the home page, in a banner, twice.
What it does have is eight phone numbers with eight published per-minute rates, a live TV channel on Sky and Freeview, and the most legible price card in this reference. This Xpanded review is about a British adult platform mid-rebuild that has been unusually honest about which half of itself is switched off.
What is actually live on Xpanded
Half of Xpanded works and half of it does not, and the site says which half on the first screen. This is an 18+ adult service throughout.

That is the entire webcam proposition, and none of it is running.
The cam pages exist. You can click through to them and read what is planned. They are placeholders for a service that is off.
Being told this plainly, on the first screen, before clicking anything, is worth more than it sounds. Plenty of platforms in this reference leave a visitor to discover an empty grid on their own. This one puts the outage in a banner and repeats it in four separate sections.
What Xpanded costs: eight numbers, eight published rates
The phone card is the best piece of pricing disclosure on the site and one of the clearest anywhere here. Two shows, four routes each, every rate printed next to the number:
Daytime Show
- UK landline: £2 per minute, with a £3.60 first minute, plus network charge
- Mobile shortcode: £2 per minute plus a £3 connection SMS
- Irish: €3.05 per minute
Nightshow
- UK landline: £1.50 per minute, with a £3.60 first minute, plus network charge
- Mobile shortcode: £1 per minute, flat
- Irish: €3.05 per minute
- VIP landline: £2 per minute, with a £3.60 first minute, plus network charge
- VIP mobile: £2 per minute, flat
Two things jump out before any arithmetic. The Nightshow is cheaper than the daytime line, which is the opposite of how most metered services price their peak. And the mobile shortcodes have no first-minute premium at all.
Why the first minute costs £3.60
That £3.60 opening minute changes the shape of every landline call. On the Nightshow UK line at £1.50 a minute afterwards:

So the advertised £1.50 is a rate you approach and never reach, and a short call costs more than double the headline. That is not hidden, it is printed right there, but it is the kind of detail people skim past.
The mobile line makes the point sharply. At a flat £1 a minute with no opening charge, ten minutes on the Nightshow mobile shortcode costs £10 against £17.10 on the landline for the same conversation. Using the mobile route is 42 percent cheaper at ten minutes and 48 percent cheaper at five. Nothing on the page points this out.
Irish callers get the worst of it. Both shows cost €3.05 a minute with no cheap route, no night discount and no mobile alternative. Ten minutes is €30.50, roughly three times what a UK caller pays on the cheapest line for the same ten minutes.
And the VIP tier is worth a hard look. On the landline it costs £2 a minute against the standard Nightshow’s £1.50, a 33 percent premium, and the page never says what VIP buys. On a card this transparent about everything else, an unexplained premium tier stands out.
One caveat on all of it: every landline rate carries “plus network charge”, so the printed figure is not the total. Your own operator adds an access charge on top, and Xpanded does not and cannot state it.
Credits and The Shop: no prices for either
The navigation carries Credits and The Shop as separate top-level items, and neither is explained on the home page.
Credits is presumably the unit for the cam and video call service when it returns. No package, no value in pounds and no conversion appears anywhere on the page, so the site has published exact rates for the product that works and nothing at all for the product that does not. That is the right way round, but it does mean anyone planning ahead cannot.
The Shop is similarly undescribed. On a platform with TV personalities and Fan Pages, it is presumably merchandise or content, and the home page never says.
Xpanded alternatives while the cams are down
If you came here for cams, the short answer is that you need a different site today. Two UK options come closest.
AWLive: the closest match to what Xpanded’s cam pages promise, and the only site in this reference that publishes a full credit price list in pounds, so an hourly cost can be worked out in advance.
BabeStation: the other UK operation with a TV heritage and the same daytime and late-night split, so the nearest thing to a like-for-like replacement.
Beyond that the large token networks all carry UK performers without organising around them, and the ones reviewed here include Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, CamSoda, LiveJasmin, Streamate, ImLive, Flirt4Free, MyFreeCams, Cam4 and XLoveCam, most of them in HD and some with VR or AI features bolted on. For one-to-one video rather than a grid, LuckyCrush and CooMeet do the random-match format. None of them will give you a Sky channel.
The point is not that Xpanded is bad. It is that a review has to describe what is available, and right now the cam service is a set of pages describing itself in the future tense.
Is Xpanded safe and legit?
On paperwork, Xpanded does better than most. On accountability, worse than it should be.
The footer is short, and two of the links in it are the ones worth checking:
- Age Verification, on a dedicated page. That is the mark of a platform operating under the UK’s current rules rather than hoping they do not apply, and it is a first in this reference as a named footer link.
- Modern Slavery, a UK statutory obligation above a turnover threshold. It makes this the second British operation here to publish one after AWLive, and it identifies Xpanded as a domestic company subject to domestic reporting.
The rest is standard: About Us, Help Centre, Work For Us, Terms and Conditions, Privacy and Cookies, Acceptable Use and a sitemap.
What is absent is the company:
- No named operating entity
- No registered address
- No complaints or abuse reporting route beyond a general Help Centre
For a business broadcasting on two national television platforms and billing through premium-rate telephone numbers, that is a strange gap, and the regulated nature of both those channels means the information exists somewhere. It just is not here.
Is it safe to use cam sites?
The risks are the same on every platform, and they are mostly about money and data rather than about the video. Four habits cover most of it:
- Pay through the site, never off it
- Use a credit card with a clear dispute route rather than a transfer
- Give an email address you do not use elsewhere
- Read the age verification and acceptable use pages before you spend, because a platform that has written them has thought about the problem
Xpanded does better than most on that last point. The Age Verification page and the Modern Slavery statement are both there and both easy to find. What is missing is a named company and a complaints route, so if a premium-rate bill went wrong you would be starting from a general Help Centre rather than a person. On the phone side there is at least a regulator behind UK premium-rate numbers, which is more recourse than most webcam chat carries.
Working for Xpanded as a performer
Work For Us sits in the main navigation rather than buried in the footer, which is unusual and suggests active recruitment even with half the platform offline.
The case for it, read from outside, is the breadth. This is one of very few operations in this reference that can put a performer on national television, on a premium-rate phone line, on a webcam and on a creator fan page under one brand. A TV appearance drives phone traffic and phone regulars follow you to cams, and the site’s own copy describes exactly that funnel. Nothing else here has a Sky channel attached.
The case against is timing. The cam service, the video calls, the creator profiles and the Fan Pages are all in the future tense, and no date is given anywhere. A performer joining now is joining a phone and TV operation with a promise attached, and “soon” has no definition on this page.
Nothing about the commercial arrangement is published: no per-minute share of the phone revenue, no credit conversion, no payout schedule or threshold, and no statement of how TV, phone, cam and fan page earnings differ. Premium-rate telephone work in the UK is a regulated business with its own rules about how revenue is split down the chain, so the questions to ask are specific and answerable, and none of them are answered here.
What is the highest paying cam site?
There is no honest single answer, because almost nothing in this category publishes its revenue share. Across the sex cam sites reviewed here, none states a split on its public pages, so any ranking you read is somebody’s affiliate copy rather than a fact. What is knowable is the shape of the offer. A platform with several income routes, live webcam, private shows, recorded content, tips and a fan page, gives a performer more ways to earn than a single free chat grid does, and that structure matters more than a headline percentage. On that measure Xpanded’s mix of live TV, phone, cams and creator pages is genuinely broad. It simply is not all switched on.

The bottom line
Judge Xpanded on what is switched on and it does well. The phone card is one of the clearest in this reference, the TV service is real and running on two national platforms, and the site tells you which half of itself is broken instead of letting you find out. That last thing is rarer than it should be.
Judge it on the cams and there is nothing to judge. Every webcam feature is described in the future tense on pages built in advance of a service that has not returned, and no date is attached to any of it.
If you want to call, use the Nightshow mobile shortcode: it is a flat pound a minute with no opening charge and it costs roughly forty percent less than the landline for the same conversation. If you want cams, come back later, and check whether the Credits system has a published value by then.
