Swipey AI Review: Spent a Week With This AI Girlfriend App So You Don’t Have To

Swipey AI is the most feature-complete AI girlfriend platform I have tested this year, and the most expensive way to use one. This Swipey AI review is a full hands-on breakdown: I tested the chat, walked every step of the character builder, priced every heart, watched an episode of an AI video series, opened the rewards system and timed the countdown that runs across the top of the site. There is a genuinely clever product here, including a scenario generator I have not seen anywhere else. There is also a currency where a ten second video can cost you sixteen dollars.

TL;DR: is Swipey AI worth it?

  • What it is: a companion platform from INVAI LTD in Nicosia, Cyprus, combining swipe-based discovery, chat, scene photo generation, AI video, episodic video series, a four-stage character builder and a full gamification layer.
  • Standout feature: the scenario generator in the builder, which writes five opening situations from your character choices and rewrites them live when you change a chip.
  • Second standout: per-character video series with seasons and episodes, tied to the companion you are chatting with.
  • Chat quality: good continuity, inconsistent voice. It solved the constraint I planted but answered a literary opener in text-message shorthand.
  • Free tier: 16 hearts, which at 2 hearts a message is eight messages.
  • Costs: message 2, scene photo 10, video 40 or 80 per ten seconds, new character 15 hearts.
  • Real money: hearts run $0.20 each on the smallest pack down to $0.067 on the largest. That puts a Siren video at $5.36 to $16.
  • Premium: $0.27 a day on the annual plan, about $8.10 a month, with unlimited messages.
  • Best for: people who will subscribe annually and want the deepest feature set in the category.
  • Skip it if: you plan to buy hearts à la carte. The per-unit pricing is the steepest in this batch.

What is Swipey AI and how is it structured?

Swipey AI is an AI girlfriend platform built around a dating-app metaphor, which is where the name comes from. The footer names the operator as INVAI LTD, company number HE 458964, at Strovolou 140 in Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus, with support at a swipey.ai address and both Discord and Twitter linked.

The navigation is refreshingly short. Six items in a floating left rail: Home, Feed, Chats, Create, Gallery and My AI. That is it. Compare that with platforms in this category running nine or ten sidebar entries, and Swipey’s restraint is the first sign that someone thought about the interface rather than just piling features in.

Home is the roster. Feed is the swipe experience. Chats is your conversations. Create is the builder. Gallery holds everything you have generated. My AI holds characters you have made. Each one does one job.

The roster and discovery

Swipey AI character roster with category filters and NEW and SERIES badges
Roster cards carry trait chips and badges, including SERIES for characters with episodic video attached.

The character grid runs on a long filter rail covering body types, ethnicities, hair colours and professions, with a search box and an advanced filter panel. Cards carry a name, an age, a one-line hook and three or four trait chips, plus badges for NEW and, importantly, SERIES, which marks characters that have episodic video attached.

The hooks are written as moments rather than biographies. One character is introduced mid-warm-up catching your eye, another moving around a kitchen. It is a small writing decision that makes browsing feel less like a catalogue.

The Feed and the swipe mechanic

Feed is a vertical reel player with Not Interested and Interested buttons under every clip, and a live counter claiming over 9,000 members watching reels at the time I looked. Swipe right and the character lands in your chats. It is the most literal expression of the platform’s name and it works well as a discovery loop.

Two caveats. The feed hits a premium eyes only wall after a handful of clips, and the captions are considerably more explicit than anything else on the site, including step-family framing and a lot of eighteen and nineteen year old characters. Everything is labelled over eighteen, but there is no safe mode anywhere on Swipey, so this is not a tab to open in company.

Is the Swipey AI chat any good?

The chat interface is the best-equipped in this batch, and the writing inside it is the part I have mixed feelings about.

Swipey AI chat interface with build relationship bar, gift amounts and image and video composer buttons
The chat window carries a relationship bar, a gift system running from 40 to 400 hearts, and image, video and voice controls.

Start with the furniture. The conversation list splits into All, Following, Unread and Subscribed, with a Group Chat button above it. Each conversation opens with a privacy line stating the chat stays private. Above the messages sits a Build relationship bar promising relationship progression, and the character header carries a Call me button. The composer offers Image, Video, a video model picker and a microphone. On the right, a character panel holds a media carousel, trait cards under a Get to know her better heading, and tabs for Posts, Chat Media and About.

There is also a gift system. You can send hearts as a gift in preset amounts running from 40 up to 400, framed as tipping the character. That is a mechanic lifted directly from creator platforms and it tells you how Swipey wants you to think about these characters.

The chat test

My opener from the character was a properly written scene: a rooftop bar, heels on the floor, a look across a crowded room, a glass tapped in invitation. Genuinely atmospheric.

I replied in kind, said I was staring because she looked like the only person not pretending to enjoy the bar, introduced myself as Robbin visiting from Lille, and asked what the drink was and what we were escaping to.

Swipey AI chat reply in lowercase texting style answering a question about leather brogues
Continuity worked, the constraint I planted was answered, but the replies arrive in texting shorthand rather than the register of the opener.

The answer named the drink as a sidecar, which is a real cocktail and a good fit for the scene, used my name and confirmed the escape. But it arrived in lowercase text-message shorthand, with ur for your and no narration at all. The gap between the literary opener and the SMS reply is jarring.

Turn two tested continuity. I mentioned I had only packed city shoes and asked whether wherever we were going survived leather brogues. The reply handled it directly, said the brogues would be fine because we were going to her private kitchen, and moved the scene on. The constraint was heard and answered. That is the test most platforms fail, and Swipey passed it.

So: continuity yes, specificity yes, voice consistency no. Compared with Lovel.ai, which held a literary register across turns, or OurDream.ai, which lets you pick the model and set the writing style, Swipey gives you no control over the register at all. If the texting voice is the intended product, it should not open in prose.

What can Swipey AI generate, and what does each thing cost?

This is where the review gets specific, because Swipey prices every action separately and the numbers matter.

Scene photos

Swipey AI scene photo card offering to generate a photo of the current moment for 10 hearts
Scene photos are generated from the conversation itself rather than a prompt box, at 10 hearts each.

The Image button in the composer does not open a prompt box. It opens a card reading don’t just read it, watch it happen, generate a photo of this exact moment, priced at 10 hearts. The generation is driven by the conversation itself rather than anything you type.

That is a genuinely good idea. It removes prompt writing entirely and keeps the image tied to the scene you are already in. Mine returned in under twenty seconds. It is the most elegant implementation of in-chat image generation I have used, and I would like to see it copied.

Video, and two named models

Swipey AI video model picker showing Siren at 80 hearts and Vixen at 40 hearts per ten seconds
Two named video models with an honest cheap-versus-best description and prices per ten seconds.

The Video button carries a model picker with two options, described plainly:

ModelDescriptionCost
Siren (marked BEST)Best video, with sound80 hearts per 10 seconds
VixenStunning video, for less40 hearts per 10 seconds

There is also a turn this photo into a video action attached to images in the chat, so any still can be animated. Offering a cheap and an expensive video model with an honest description of the trade-off is the right way to do this, and it is more transparent than platforms that hide the model entirely.

The full cost table

ActionHeartsCost at worst rateCost at best rate
Chat message (free account)2$0.40$0.13
Scene photo10$2.00$0.67
Create a character15$3.00$1.00
Vixen video, 10 seconds40$8.00$2.68
Siren video, 10 seconds80$16.00$5.36
Gift to a character40 to 400$8 to $80$2.68 to $26.80

Those are the highest per-action prices in this batch. For comparison, GeneratePorn.ai charges about 73 cents for an image and roughly two dollars for a five second clip. Swipey’s best-case video price is more than double that and its worst case is eight times it.

How much does Swipey AI cost in 2026?

Hearts

Swipey AI heart packs from 50 hearts at $9.99 up to 2760 hearts at $209.99
Hearts cost $0.20 each on the smallest pack and $0.067 on the largest, so the small packs are poor value.
PackBonusPriceWasPer heart
50 hearts$9.99$29.99$0.200
220 hearts+20$34.99$59.99$0.146
520 hearts (best value)+120$49.99$134.99$0.078
1,150 hearts+150$99.99$289.99$0.077
2,760 hearts+360$209.99$699.99$0.067

Note the shape of that curve. The jump from the $34.99 pack to the $49.99 pack nearly halves the per-heart price, which means the two smallest packs are traps. If you are buying hearts at all, the 520 pack is the first one that makes sense.

Premium subscription

Swipey AI premium plans priced per day at $0.67, $0.53 and $0.27 with bonus hearts
Premium is priced per day, which works out at roughly $20, $16 or $8 a month, and includes unlimited messages.

Swipey prices its subscription per day, which flatters the number considerably. Converted to something comparable:

PlanAdvertisedRoughly per monthBonus hearts
1 month, -50%$0.67 per dayabout $20+200
3 months, -60%$0.53 per dayabout $16+200
12 months, -80%$0.27 per dayabout $8+600

Premium includes unlimited chat messages, 200 monthly tokens, unlimited AI girlfriend creation, one-to-one phone calls, unlimited reels and daily video drops. The unlimited messaging is the important line, because it removes the 2-hearts-per-message meter entirely and changes the economics of the whole platform.

My read: the annual plan at roughly eight dollars a month is the only sensible way to use Swipey. On hearts alone, a free user with the $9.99 pack gets 25 messages. A subscriber gets unlimited messages plus 600 bonus hearts to spend on media. The gap is not close.

Swipey AI unlock premium panel with a countdown timer and exclusive photo and video claims
Character pages open a premium panel with its own countdown. I watched one reach four seconds and reset to over twelve hours.

One honest note on the sales pressure. A countdown timer runs permanently across the header, and character pages open a full-screen Unlock Premium panel with its own clock. I watched one countdown run down to four seconds and then reset to over twelve hours. Treat the urgency as decoration.

How good is the Swipey character builder?

This is the part of the product I would point other platforms at. The builder runs in four named stages with a progress bar: Identity, Appearance, Personality and Scenario, plus a Random button if you want the whole thing rolled for you.

Identity and Appearance

Identity covers art style, ethnicity across five options and an age slider running from 18+ to 55+. Appearance then walks through body type, chest and figure, hair style across eight options, eye colour across six and hair colour across eight, including pink and violet for the anime side.

Every option is a full card with an image rather than a dropdown entry, which makes the process feel more like casting than filling in a form.

Personality

Swipey AI character builder personality step with seven archetypes and a spice level control
Seven personality archetypes, each with a written description of how she will behave, plus a spice level control.

Seven archetypes: Sweetheart, Dominant, Innocent, Playful, Mean, Nympho and Submissive. Each one carries a written description of how she will behave rather than just a label, and there is a spice level control underneath. Then a profession list running to 24 options, from nurse and teacher through pilot, lawyer, interior designer and secret agent.

The scenario generator, and why it matters

Swipey AI scenario generator producing five opening scenarios from editable personality, profession, location and age chips
The standout feature: five opening scenarios written from your own choices, regenerating instantly when you tap a chip.

Here is the feature that makes this review worth writing. The Scenario stage does not ask you to write anything. It takes your choices so far, shows them as editable chips for Personality, Profession, Location and Age, and then generates five opening scenarios from them, each with a title and a one-line premise.

A sweetheart nurse in a hospital produced Night Shift Comfort, Midnight Rounds, Sharing a late-night snack, Overtime Break and Catching up over coffee. Underneath sits a Your story so far panel that stitches the whole thing into a sentence: the location, the chosen scenario, her age, her personality, her hair and eyes.

The line on screen reads tap any chip to change it and the scenarios update instantly, and it does exactly that. Change nurse to flight attendant and the hospital scenarios become airport ones.

Most builders in this category end with a list of attributes and drop you into an empty chat. Swipey ends with a situation, which is the thing that actually determines whether the first ten messages are any good. It is the single best design decision on the platform.

Swipey AI character builder summary screen showing all choices and a create cost of 15 hearts
The summary gathers appearance, personality, voice, scenario and location, and prices the character at 15 hearts.

The final summary gathers everything, including a voice selection, kinks and the chosen scenario, and prices the character at 15 hearts. Premium members create unlimited characters.

What are Swipey AI video series?

Characters marked SERIES have episodic video attached, and this is not a gimmick. Opening one gave me The Secret Next Door, Season 1, with a written synopsis and five numbered episodes, three of them flagged New.

Swipey AI video series player showing The Secret Next Door season one with five episodes
Series are episodic AI video attached to individual characters, with seasons, numbered episodes and a written synopsis.

It plays in a proper vertical player with a timeline, pause and fullscreen controls, running around a minute and forty seconds. The synopsis reads like a soap plot rather than a scene description, with a setup, a complication and a hook.

The clever part is the attachment. ChatRoger also ships episodic AI video, but as a separate library. On Swipey the series belongs to the character you are already chatting with, so watching and talking feed each other. That is a better structural idea, and the open question is the same one for both platforms: whether the episodes keep coming.

What is the rewards and progression system?

Swipey AI rewards page showing level one French Kiss, collectible frames, daily streak and challenges
A full progression layer with levels, collectible frames and challenges, though streaks and referral payouts are Premium only.

Swipey runs a full gamification layer, and the naming tells you everything about the tone. I started at Level 1, called French Kiss, on 0 of 100 experience. Level 2 unlocks a new profile frame and a spin.

Underneath sit collectible profile frames (I had 1 of 8, a silver ring), a daily streak system, and Challenges split into Permanent and Daily. There is also a referral programme paying 100 hearts for each friend who makes a purchase, with a bonus for the friend as well.

The catch is consistent with everything else here: the daily streak and the referral earnings are both Premium-only. Free users can see the progression system and climb the level bar, but the parts that pay out in currency are behind the subscription. Kuro AI is the closest comparison for gamified companion chat, and it is more generous with the free side of its progression.

How is the Swipey AI user experience?

Since this is the deepest review in the batch, the interface deserves its own verdict.

What Swipey gets right

  • Six-item navigation. Every section has one job and the rail never grows.
  • Costs printed on the action. The scene photo card, the video model picker and the create button all state their price before you commit.
  • The gallery is organised by character rather than as one undifferentiated dump, with a sort control.
  • The builder shows a progress bar and lets you step back without losing choices.
  • Scenarios regenerate live when you edit a chip, with no save or refresh step.
  • Per-conversation privacy note stated in plain language at the top of every chat.
  • Character pages read like creator profiles, with post counts, view counts and like counts rather than vague popularity stars.
Swipey AI gallery grouping generated photos by character with a sort control
The gallery groups everything you generate by character rather than dumping it into one feed.

What Swipey gets wrong

  • The countdown resets. Fake urgency undermines the rest of the pricing page.
  • Currency naming is inconsistent. The interface says hearts, the subscription card says tokens.
  • A dead URL in its own structure. Visiting the create page directly returns a 404 while the sidebar link to the builder works.
  • Register mismatch between the written openers and the texting replies.
  • No safe mode anywhere, and feed captions are the most explicit text on the platform.
  • The free balance is eight messages, which is not enough to evaluate anything.
  • Voice calls are fully gated, opening the subscription modal rather than offering a paid preview.

What are the pros and cons of Swipey AI?

Pros

  • The scenario generator. Five situations written from your own character choices, regenerating live as you edit them.
  • Per-character video series with seasons, episodes and a real synopsis, attached to the companion you chat with.
  • Scene photos generated from the conversation, with no prompt writing at all.
  • Two named video models with an honest cheap-versus-best description.
  • Continuity works. It caught a throwaway constraint and answered it properly.
  • Clean six-item navigation and a gallery organised by character.
  • Full gamification layer with levels, collectible frames, daily and permanent challenges.
  • 24 professions and 7 written personality archetypes in the builder.
  • Annual pricing is genuinely cheap at roughly eight dollars a month with unlimited messaging.
  • Named operator with a company number, plus 2257, complaint and anti-slavery policies published.

Cons

  • The most expensive per-action pricing in this batch, with a ten second Siren video at $5.36 to $16.
  • Two hearts per message on free, so a 16-heart balance is eight replies.
  • The two smallest heart packs are poor value, at up to three times the per-heart cost of the largest.
  • Resetting countdown timers on the header and on character pages.
  • Chat voice does not match its own openers.
  • No control over writing style or model, unlike competitors in the same price range.
  • Streaks and referral payouts are Premium only.
  • No safe mode, with very explicit feed copy.
  • Content skews young, with a lot of 18 and 19 year old characters and step-family framing.
  • A 404 inside its own navigation structure.

Is Swipey AI safe and legitimate?

The paperwork is better than most of this category. The footer names INVAI LTD with a Cyprus company registration number and a street address, and links to terms of service, a privacy policy, a complaint policy, an 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping statement, an anti-slavery policy and an affiliate programme. Publishing an anti-slavery statement is unusual and suggests someone has been through a proper compliance review.

Account controls are sensible: you can manage payment methods, connect or disconnect a Discord account, opt out of marketing email and delete your profile from the settings page. Each conversation states plainly that it stays private.

The honest caveats are commercial and editorial rather than legal. Hearts are expensive and easy to spend by accident, especially with gift buttons running to 400 hearts sitting inside the chat window. The countdown timers manufacture pressure that is not real. And the content mix leans hard on very young-presenting characters and step-family scenarios, which is standard for this corner of the market but worth knowing before you subscribe.

Frequently asked questions about Swipey AI

Is Swipey AI free?

There is a free tier, but it is small. I started with 16 hearts and messages cost 2 hearts each, which is eight replies. Scene photos, video, voice calls and character creation all cost hearts on top, and the feed hits a premium wall after a few reels.

How much does Swipey AI cost?

Premium is advertised per day: $0.67 for one month, $0.53 for three months and $0.27 for twelve months, which works out to roughly $20, $16 and $8 a month. The annual plan also includes 600 bonus hearts and unlimited chat messages.

What are hearts on Swipey AI?

Hearts are the in-app currency. A message costs 2, a scene photo 10, a new character 15, and video 40 or 80 per ten seconds depending on the model. Packs run from 50 hearts at $9.99 to 2,760 hearts at $209.99, which is $0.20 down to $0.067 per heart.

How much does a Swipey AI video cost?

Ten seconds of Vixen video costs 40 hearts and ten seconds of Siren, the better model with sound, costs 80. In money that is roughly $2.68 to $8 for Vixen and $5.36 to $16 for Siren, depending on which heart pack you bought.

What are Swipey AI series?

Episodic AI video attached to individual characters, organised into seasons with numbered episodes and a written synopsis. Characters with series carry a SERIES badge on the roster, and the episodes play in a vertical video player inside the chat.

Can you create your own character on Swipey AI?

Yes. The builder runs through Identity, Appearance, Personality and Scenario, with 24 professions, seven personality archetypes and an auto-generated set of opening scenarios. It costs 15 hearts per character, and Premium members create unlimited characters.

Does Swipey AI have voice calls?

Yes, but they are Premium only. The Call me button on a free account opens the subscription panel rather than starting a call.

Are the Swipey AI discounts real?

The prices are real, the urgency is not. A countdown timer runs permanently in the header, and I watched one run down to four seconds and then reset to more than twelve hours. Take your time.

Who operates Swipey AI?

INVAI LTD, company number HE 458964, registered in Nicosia, Cyprus. The site publishes terms, privacy, complaint, 2257 and anti-slavery policies, and support runs through a swipey.ai email address and a Discord community.

My verdict on Swipey AI

Swipey AI has the best ideas in this category and the worst arithmetic. The scenario generator solves a real problem that nobody else has even framed properly: a character sheet is not a story, and the first ten messages are what decide whether you come back. Attaching video series to the character you are chatting with is the second good idea. Generating photos from the conversation instead of a prompt box is the third. Any one of these would be worth copying.

Then you look at the meter. Two hearts a message, ten for a photo, eighty for ten seconds of video, and a smallest pack that prices hearts at three times the largest. A free account gets eight replies. Buy the wrong pack and a single video costs more than a month of most competitors.

The route through is narrow but clear. Take the twelve month plan at roughly eight dollars a month. That buys unlimited messages, which removes the meter from the part of the platform you will use most, plus 600 hearts for media and unlimited character creation. At that price Swipey is the deepest companion product I have tested and it is very good value. On any other plan, and especially on hearts alone, it is the most expensive way to do the same things, and the countdown clock telling you to hurry is the one part of the site you can safely ignore.
