A rainy Tuesday in Cihangir, Istanbul. I’d just moved into the neighborhood to run a secondhand bookshop, and three locals had wandered in: a pastry chef who immediately judged my cookbook shelf, a folk singer who teased her about it, and a quiet barista who mostly watched. None of them were people. They were three Flirtzy characters sharing one scene in Miniverse, the group roleplay mode Flirtzy launched in late September 2026, and it was the most fun I had during two days with a test account.

The rest of Flirtzy is a mixed bag. Chat quality and memory are strong, pricing is clear, and the image tools are flexible. But some generation features hung on me, and the public character library has moderation gaps I can’t skip over. This review covers all of it, with the Embers cost of every feature I used, step-by-step guides and plenty of screenshots.
Is Flirtzy AI worth it? The short answer
Yes, for roleplay fans who care about writing quality, and especially if you want group scenes. Flirtzy’s characters write long, vivid replies, they remembered every detail in my memory test, and Miniverse does something few competitors offer: up to 10 characters reacting to you and to each other in the same story. The single Embers currency makes costs easy to track. The downsides are unreliable in-chat image generation, occasional duplicated replies, and a community library that lets some troubling cards through.
- Best for: story-driven roleplay, group scenes, anime and fantasy characters
- Price: free (500 Embers a month), paid plans from $7.99 to $99.99 a month
- Standout features: Miniverse group roleplay, 19 image models, Memories feed
- Biggest annoyance: in-chat images that spin for minutes and never arrive

What is Flirtzy AI?
Flirtzy AI (flirtzy.ai) is an adult AI roleplay platform where you chat with community-made characters, generate images and video, build your own characters, and run multi-character stories in Miniverse. It leans anime and fantasy, though realistic characters exist too, and it covers men, women and non-binary characters.
The sidebar is busy but logical: Home, Create Character, Create Images, Image Gallery, Recent Chats and Miniverse, then Profile, Pricing, What’s New and Notifications. The home page has two tabs, Characters and Memories, with sorting by Popular, Recent Hits, Trending, New and Daily Ranking. An NSFW toggle in the corner switches the whole library between safe-for-work previews and adult ones, and an Animated toggle turns moving avatars on or off. There are roughly 110 tag categories to filter by.
How much does Flirtzy cost?
Flirtzy is free to start with 500 Embers a month, and paid plans run from $7.99 (Spark) to $99.99 (Inferno) a month. Every plan buys the same currency, Embers, so the main differences are how many you get and how much the AI remembers (context size).

| Plan | Price/month | Embers/month | Context | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 | 8K | About 125 messages, 30-day history, no video |
| Spark | $7.99 | 7,000 | 16K | Entry paid tier |
| Glow | $14.99 | 13,000 | 32K | Video unlocked, 5% pack discount |
| Flare | $29.99 | 26,000 | 64K | Marked most popular, priority |
| Blaze | $49.99 | 44,000 | 128K | Bigger memory window |
| Inferno | $99.99 | 88,000 | 200K | Top tier |
There’s a yearly toggle for a lower monthly rate. Monthly Embers reset every 30 days. If you run out, Bonus Ember packs never expire: 5,000 for $5.99, 15,000 for $17.99, 50,000 for $59.99 and 150,000 for $179.99. Higher plans get up to 25% off those packs.

My test account was on Glow ($14.99). For most people that’s the sweet spot: 13,000 Embers is about 3,250 messages a month, and it’s the cheapest plan that unlocks video. Spark is fine if you only chat.
What do Embers buy you?
One chat message costs 4 Embers, a standard image costs 12, a “Real” photoreal image costs 24, and video starts at 105. Your profile page shows a live balance with handy equivalents, so you always know roughly how many messages, images or videos you have left.

- Chat message: 4 Embers
- Image (WAI, XL, Crisp models): 12 Embers
- Image (Real, photoreal): 24 Embers
- Video clip: from 105 Embers
- Creating a character: roughly 48 to 420 Embers, depending on model and intro images
The profile also has tabs for My Characters, My Images, Memories, Favorites and Likes, which makes it easy to find things you made earlier.
What characters can you chat with on Flirtzy?
Flirtzy’s library is community-made and very broad: elves, goths, furries, sci-fi crews, slice-of-life romances and plenty of realistic characters. Each card opens a modal with an intro, tags, stats, comments and a Start Chat button. Hovering a card shows its scenario stages (many have five) and the opening scene.

I picked Lirael, a gentle trans-female elf, for my main chat test. The card had a full backstory and a scene-setting intro that ran several paragraphs before I typed a word. That’s typical here: Flirtzy characters are written as story openings, not just profile blurbs.
How good is Flirtzy’s AI chat and memory?
Flirtzy’s chat is among the better-written I’ve tested, and it passed my memory test without a slip. Replies are long, mix dialogue with action lines in italics, and stay in character.
My memory test: I told Lirael I was a beekeeper, that I lived in a river village past the old mill, and that my queen bee was called Marigold. Two messages later I asked her to repeat all three. She got every one, and worked them into a playful reply instead of reciting a list.

The right-hand panel holds the chat tools:
- Save Memories and View Memories to pin facts you want kept
- Start New Chat and Delete
- Chat Settings and Character Details
- Customize Chat Page, which lets you set your own background
One bug kept showing up: some replies rendered twice, or split into two bubbles while streaming. Refreshing fixed the display, and it didn’t seem to double-charge me, but it breaks the flow.
Can Flirtzy characters send images in chat?
Yes, through the Create menu in the message box, but in my test the in-chat image never arrived. The menu offers Generate image and Generate video. For images you can let Auto read the current scene, or write a Custom description.

You can also pick which of 19 image models the chat uses: 5 Flirtzy originals, 3 anime, 4 photoreal, 3 artistic, 2 for design and text, and 2 fast models. Filters let you sort them by content, style and cost.

My Auto image spun for more than six minutes and then vanished. I wasn’t charged for it, which is fair, but it’s the feature most people will reach for. The standalone Create Images page (below) worked much better, so if you want a picture of the scene, use that instead for now.
What is Flirtzy Miniverse and how do you use it?
Miniverse is Flirtzy’s group roleplay mode: you build a small world with up to 10 characters, choose your own role, and the AI runs a living scene where characters talk to you and to each other. It launched on September 24, 2026, and it’s the best reason to pick Flirtzy over a standard one-on-one companion app.
How to start a Miniverse, step by step
- Pick your inhabitants. Choose from a 50-person cast written specifically for Miniverse worlds, or from all Flirtzy characters. Filters cover gender (including trans and non-binary), age, temperament and vibe. I chose Chloé, a pastry chef, Emily, a folk singer, and Theo, a barista and musician.
- Set up yourself. Choose Participant, Narrator or Observer, then give your persona a name, appearance and role. I played Robbin, a new bookshop owner.
- Choose the opening. Pick a tone (Automatic, Grounded, Heightened or Fantasy), define who knows whom, and decide whether the AI writes the opening, you write it, or you start blank.
- Adjust settings. Story language, tempo, automatic image captures, how many pictures to visualize, a “shape to my tastes” option, an Obedience slider from Defiant to Devoted, and a switch that gives inhabitants their own minds.
- Enter the stage and start playing.

What playing a Miniverse is like
The stage shows a scene title and opening paragraph in the middle. On the right, a Right Now panel tracks the camera location, time, mood, weather and known places, plus each character’s live state and outfit. Tabs switch between Captures, Inhabitants and Settings.

The AI set my scene in Cihangir on a rainy Tuesday, which I hadn’t asked for and loved. When I made a joke about the cookbook shelf, Chloé reacted with real personality, Emily jumped in with banter, and Theo “stays quiet,” which suited him. Inner thoughts appear marked with arrows, so you see what characters think but don’t say.

The controls under the story are where Miniverse gets clever:
- Engine (Balanced by default), Images (Auto) and Pace (Steady)
- Participant / Narrator / Observer switch, mid-story
- Let them talk, which lets the characters carry the scene without you
- Cut to, for jumping to another place or time
- Visualize, to generate a picture of the moment
- Suggested reply cards if you’re stuck
I pressed Let them talk. Chloé asked to see the back room of my shop, and Emily started playing a sad song on her guitar. It felt like a scene from a novel, not a chatbot.

Two caveats. The automatic capture of “Chloé Marchand and Robbin” spun for more than eight minutes without finishing, the same image problem I hit in regular chat. And there’s a daily usage cap, shown as “60 / 600 Embers today” on my account, so long sessions can hit a wall. Until October 9 Flirtzy was running a 50% launch bonus on Miniverse usage.
How good is the Flirtzy image generator?
The Create Images page is fast and flexible: my test image came back in about 20 seconds for 12 Embers. It has three modes: Pure prompt, Character fusion (put an existing character into a scene) and Reference remix (work from an uploaded image).

How to generate an image on Flirtzy
- Open Create Images from the sidebar.
- Pick a mode. Pure prompt is the simplest.
- Type a prompt, or build one with tag chips: Scenario, Mood, Camera and Light, Outfit, Body, Hair, Expression, Eyes, Accessories, Shoes, Decorate and Action or Pose.
- Choose a base model (3 shown, 16 more under Browse all models) and a style preset.
- Set the aspect ratio (1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 4:3 or 16:9) and batch size (1, 2 or 4).
- Add a negative prompt if needed, then generate.
The NSFW switch on this page matters: with it off, Flirtzy runs in safe mode and blocks explicit prompts. I asked for an elf in a green cloak walking a forest path, with beehives and foxgloves. The result was a lovely sunlit forest scene, though it skipped the beehives and flowers. Fine detail from the prompt can get lost.

How do you create a character on Flirtzy?
Create Character offers four modes: Prompt Simple, Prompt Advanced, Image Simple and Image Advanced. Prompt modes build a character from a written description; Image modes start from a picture.

How to build a character with Prompt Simple
- Go to Create Character and choose Prompt Simple.
- Write one prompt describing who the character is, how they look and how they talk.
- Toggle adult content on or off.
- Leave the image model on Auto or pick one, and choose 0 to 4 intro images.
- Review the estimate and confirm.

The review screen estimated 48 to 420 Embers, covering four base images plus intro images. It also explained that new characters are published to the community right away, with possible admin review afterwards. I stopped before confirming, because I didn’t want a test character going public. If you want a private character, check this screen carefully: I didn’t find a private option in the simple flow.

What is the Flirtzy Memories feed?
Memories is a public feed of chat excerpts that users choose to share. Each one shows a title, the character, the author, likes, stars, views, message count and date. It’s a neat way to see how a character actually writes before you start a chat.

Quality varies a lot. Some memories are small, sweet scenes. Others are crude one-liners or placeholder text, including one that was just “XDDDD.” Sorting by Popular helps.
Is Flirtzy safe? Moderation and bugs
Flirtzy displays a clear rule against content involving minors, but its public library doesn’t fully live up to it. While browsing I found a card labelled “Mila – Young adult” whose description, in Russian, calls her a schoolgirl. I also found a “Predatory Kindergarten Teacher” card and a “Bunny Mom” card built around a mother and son. Flirtzy offers a report option, and I’d use it on cards like these. If moderation matters to you, it’s a real mark against the platform.
On the technical side, here’s what went wrong during my test:
- In-chat images and Miniverse captures that spun for 6 to 8+ minutes and never finished
- Duplicated or split replies while text was streaming
- Some buttons that didn’t respond to the first click
None of these cost me Embers, and the core chat always worked. Privacy-wise, remember that Memories and new characters are public by default, so think before you share.
Flirtzy pros and cons
Pros
- Miniverse group roleplay with up to 10 characters is excellent and rare
- Long, vivid replies that stay in character
- Passed my memory test completely
- One clear currency with published costs per action
- Bonus Embers never expire
- 19 image models plus a capable standalone generator
- Inclusive library, with non-binary and trans characters and filters
Cons
- In-chat images and Miniverse captures hung in my tests
- Duplicated or split replies
- Moderation gaps in the public library
- New characters publish publicly right away
- Free tier (500 Embers) runs out fast
- Miniverse has a daily Embers cap
Flirtzy vs alternatives
If Miniverse is what draws you, Flirtzy has little direct competition; for one-on-one chat there are steadier options.
| Platform | Best for | How it compares |
|---|---|---|
| Flirtzy AI | Group roleplay, story chat | Best multi-character scenes; image tools less reliable |
| Soulkyn | Feature depth, images | More mature image pipeline, busier interface |
| Joyland AI | Interactive stories | Story focus too, but single-character |
| CrushOn.AI | Huge character library | Bigger library, simpler tools |
| Caveduck AI | Story-first chat | Similar writing focus, fewer media features |
If you mostly want a companion that remembers your life over months, Kindroid is still the stronger pick.
Flirtzy FAQ
Is Flirtzy AI free?
Yes. The free plan gives 500 Embers a month, about 125 messages, with an 8K context and 30-day chat history. Video needs Glow ($14.99) or higher.
How many Embers does a message cost on Flirtzy?
4 Embers per message. Images cost 12 (or 24 for photoreal) and videos start at 105.
Do Flirtzy Embers expire?
Monthly plan Embers reset every 30 days. Bonus Embers bought in packs never expire.
Can you have group chats on Flirtzy?
Yes. Miniverse lets up to 10 characters share one scene, and you can join as a participant, narrate, or just watch.
Does Flirtzy allow NSFW content?
Yes, for adults. An NSFW toggle controls what you see, and the image generator blocks explicit prompts when NSFW mode is off.
Are characters I create on Flirtzy private?
Not by default. The creator told me new characters publish to the community immediately, with possible admin review.
Is Flirtzy good for long-term memory?
Short-term recall is excellent, and Save Memories helps pin facts. The context window grows with your plan, from 8K on Free to 200K on Inferno.
Final thoughts: who should use Flirtzy?
Flirtzy is for roleplayers who want good writing and, above all, want to try group scenes. Miniverse alone justifies a month on Glow. If you mainly want reliable in-chat pictures, or a carefully moderated library, look elsewhere for now. I’ll recheck the image pipeline in a few weeks, because if Flirtzy fixes it, this becomes one of the most complete roleplay platforms around.
